Iranian food imports to Azerbaijan contain unsafe levels of yeast, mould, aflatoxin

In imported dates, pistachios, and barberries from Iran, levels of yeast, mould fungi, and Aflatoxin B1 exceeding safety standards have been detected, according to the Food Security Agency of Azerbaijan (FSA), as reported by Report.
The hazardous substances were found in shipments imported by Iranian companies including Soda Tejarat Diba, Tolidi Bazargani Modern Sazan Mandegar, Behzad Tejarat Aras İlman, Maham Tejarat Dena Paydar, Asia Fruits, Hamid Fallah Co., and Seyed Reza Farahmandnia.
The FSA has taken appropriate measures within the legal framework. Additionally, a notification has been issued to Iran requesting a halt to exports from these entities to Azerbaijan and urging them to be informed about the investigation results."
